Assalam-u-Alaikum! Muslim Community of South Calgary,

We are delighted to share a wonderful news that brings joy and blessings to our community. After many years of anticipation, the Islamic Center of South Calgary is proud to announce the appointment of our new Imam, Hassan Shoaib. This marks a significant milestone for us as we welcome an official imam to serve the Muslim community in South Calgary.

Imam Hassan Shoaib comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and a sincere commitment to guiding our community on the path of Islam. Imam Hassan Shoaib did  MPhil in Fundamentals of Jurisprudence (usul-al-Fiqh); a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Law from the Islamic University of Al-Madinah. He completed the Quran Hifz program from Al-Muntada al-Islami, Ghana. Currently, he is taking PhD program from University of Melbourne with focus on studying usul-al-Fiqh.

Imam Hassan Shoaib will be leading the Friday prayers, as well as conducting the Jahri daily prayers at the Queensland musallah. Additionally, he will be organizing daily Quran programs for children and adults, facilitating enlightening Halaqas, and offering a range of other religious services to cater to the diverse needs of our community.

Please join us in welcoming Imam Hassan Shoaib with open hearts and open minds. May Allah bless him with wisdom, guidance, and strength as he embarks on this noble journey of serving our community. ICSC will be organizing a Meet & Greet with the Imam this Sunday /June 18th 9:00PM at Queensland musallah. You are encouraged to join.
